House of Mark

The Story

Erected in 1836, it has been extended several times over the years and was partially reconstructed in 1955 retaining its Scottish style.

House of Mark has beautiful grounds extending to two acres. There are lawns surrounding the house and rolling towards the fields leading to many walks and a large walled garden with beautiful flowers and trees.

Nestled at the top of Glen Esk, one of the most beautiful Angus glens, House of Mark allows guests to unwind in peaceful natural surroundings. To the west lies the Queen’s Well and beautiful Glen Mark which leads to Mount keen, while the stunning route north leads to peaceful Loch Lee and waterfalls.
